Who we are
This website is operated by Hurghada Excursions, a company registered in the European Union under registration code 16800079, VAT number EE102994344. Hurghada Excursions is the controller of the personal data described below.
You can reach us about anything on this page by e-mail at info@hurghadaguidee.com or on WhatsApp at +372 5346 0229.
What we collect, and why
We only collect what you send us. We do not build profiles, we do not buy data about you, and we do not track you across other websites.
Enquiry form. When you send the contact or booking-enquiry form, we receive the details you type into it β typically your name, your e-mail address and your message, and the tour and travel details you choose to include. We use them to answer you and to arrange the excursion you asked about. The legal basis is your request: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in replying to enquiries.
E-mail. If you e-mail us directly, we hold your message and address for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and to keep a record of what was agreed.
WhatsApp. Several pages offer a WhatsApp link. Opening one starts a conversation in WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta, not by us. We see the messages you send us and the profile name and number WhatsApp shows to us. The conversation itself is carried and stored by WhatsApp under Meta's own terms and privacy policy, which we do not control. If you would rather not use it, e-mail works just as well.
We do not ask for payment card details through this website, and you should never send them to us by e-mail or WhatsApp.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising cookies and does not run analytics or visitor-tracking software. There is no advertising network, no tag manager and no pixel on any page.
The cookies that may be set are functional ones: a language cookie, so the site remembers which of English, French, German or Arabic you are reading, and β if you use the enquiry form β short-lived cookies set by the form software to guard against spam and to show you the result of your submission. A caching layer may also set a technical cookie so pages load quickly. None of these identify you personally or follow you to other sites.
Third-party services we actually use
To display this site, your browser contacts a small number of outside services. This is the complete list:
Map tiles are loaded from Esri. When a map is shown, your browser requests those image tiles directly, which means Esri receives your IP address and standard request information.
Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser requests the font files from Google and Google likewise receives your IP address and request information.
Social links to Facebook, Instagram and TikTok are ordinary links. Nothing from those platforms is embedded in our pages, and none of them can see you until you choose to click through β at which point their own privacy policies apply.
Our hosting provider processes the server logs that any web server keeps, including IP addresses, for security and for keeping the site running.
How long we keep things
Enquiries and the correspondence that follows them are kept while we are dealing with your trip and afterwards for as long as we may need them for our records or to meet an accounting or legal obligation. When a message no longer serves either purpose, we delete it. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes.
Sharing
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
We pass on only what an excursion actually requires β for example giving a guide, driver, boat operator or hotel the name and pickup details needed to carry out the trip you booked, and only for that purpose. Some of those partners are in Egypt, outside the European Economic Area; where that happens we share the minimum needed to deliver the service you asked us to arrange. We also share data with our hosting and e-mail providers, who process it on our behalf to run the site and deliver our messages.
Your rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to our using it, and ask for it in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting what we did before you withdrew it.
To exercise any of these, write to info@hurghadaguidee.com and tell us what you would like us to do. We will not charge you for it, and we will reply as quickly as we can and in any case within the time the regulation allows. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you have the right to complain to the data protection authority in the EU country where you live or work.
Children
This site is meant for adults arranging travel. We do not knowingly collect data from children through it. Where an excursion involves children travelling with their family, we receive only what the booking adult chooses to tell us.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection and access to enquiry messages is limited to the people who need it to answer you. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you send us.
Content and copyright
All original website content, tour descriptions, itineraries, graphics, branding and page design published by Hurghada Excursions are protected by applicable intellectual property law. Copying, reproduction, redistribution, commercial use or republication is not permitted without prior written permission, except where the law allows it. Some photography and map data on this site belongs to third parties and remains subject to its own licence and attribution β map tiles are Tiles Β© Esri β Esri, DeLorme, NAVTEQ, USGS, Intermap, iPC, NRCAN, Esri Japan, METI, Esri China (Hong Kong), Esri (Thailand), TomTom.
If you believe something on this site infringes your rights, contact us and we will look into it promptly.
Changes to this policy
If we start using a new service that affects your data β an analytics tool, for example β we will update this page before or when we do, and the date below will change.
