Cairo is the Arab world”s largest city and one of the world”s oldest continuously inhabited urban areas. The medieval Islamic district — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — winds through Khan el-Khalili bazaar. Just south, Saqqara hosts the Step Pyramid, Egypt”s oldest, and the Dahshur pyramids. No visit to Egypt is complete without it.
